Carma™ is looking for talented, energetic, detail oriented Data Center/inside plant Technicians and Senior Technicians who are capable of working in a fast-paced technology environment as part of tightly integrated cross-functional project teams to tackle data integrity challenges using proprietary processes and software. The Data Center Technicians are the eyes and ears of our project teams within data centers and feed critical information to our off-site Circuit Designers and data analytics teams for inventory builds, defect discovery, resolution, disconnection, and recovery. Carma will provide training for our proprietary processes and software, but successful candidates are expected to be fully competent in Data Center field operations. Successful candidates will thrive on the daily challenge of solving complex discrepancies in the network

Travel: Up to 100%, depending on project assignment.

Physical inspection of main/intermediate fiber optic distribution frames
Verify, measure and record light readings on active fiber circuits
Trace fiber and copper connectivity and capture label information
Inspect electrical distribution systems within equipment racks
Identify discrepancies between inventory systems and physical configurations
Perform physical disconnect of optical and electrical services
Coordinate entry, exit, and alarm resolution with client NOC
Accurately record and document all findings in our proprietary system Carma™
Actively collaborate with remote team members over cloud and VoIP services in real time

Extraordinary care when touching client live fiber and electrical networks
Minimum 5 years of experience working in high density data centers or carrier-neutral colocation environments
Understanding of safety requirements for working with fiber optic cables and electrical distribution systems in a data center environment
Ability to work in a data center environment for 8-10 hours per day, including standing, bending, and reaching
Ability to work collaboratively with remote teams located in Denver, CO on a synchronized (GMT) daily work schedule and meet challenging deadlines
Active driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks).
CCNP Data Center, BICSI ITS Technician, or similar verifiable training & certification in data
center fiber optics
Process optimization, field audit, and inside plant experience at a data center operator or
telecommunications carrier
