Carma is looking for talented, energetic, detail-oriented Circuit Designers and Sr Circuit Designers, who are capable of working in a fast-paced technology environment as part of tightly integrated project teams to tackle data integrity challenges using proprietary processes and software. Circuit Designers are the critical decision makers in the network lifecycle management process. Carma will provide training for our proprietary processes and software, but successful candidates are expected to be fully competent in all aspects of Circuit Design and familiar with common carrier grade DWDM, router, and switch gear. Successful candidates will thrive on the daily challenge of solving complex discrepancies in the network.

Resolves inventory discrepancies using observations captured in our proprietary system Carma™ and historical information in client CRM, OSS, workflow, provisioning, & remote monitoring systems
Designs/Redesigns circuit layout records to accurately reflect the physical state of the client’s network
Issues disconnect orders or tickets as required to remove unnecessary connections from the client’s network
Performs logical disconnect of services in the client’s network
Accurately record and document all findings in our proprietary system cARMa™
Actively collaborate with remote team members over cloud and VoIP services in real time

Associates degree in telecommunications or related field with 5+ years of work experience following formal education, or Bachelors degree in electrical/optical engineering with 3+ years work experience
Advanced knowledge of optical networking equipment such as Infinera, Huawei, Cisco, Ciena, Fujitsu, Alcatel/Lucent
Advanced knowledge of telecommunications carrier IT systems such as TIRKS, Granite, Telcordia Network Engineer, and Metasolv M6
Advanced knowledge of inside plant fiber optic structured wiring design, construction, and operations
Ability to work in an office environment for 8 hours per day, including standing, bending, and reaching
Ability to work collaboratively with field teams in client data centers on a synchronized (GMT) daily work schedule
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CCNP/CCIE Routing & Switching or Data Center Certification or higher
Process optimization, field audit, and inside plant experience at a data center operator or telecommunications carrier
